Tournament Rules
Unless specified otherwise, the tournament rules are as follows:
Format
Each team consists of two players competing in a two-man scramble format.
Both players tee off on every hole.
The team selects one of the two shots, and both players play their next shot from that location.
This process continues until the ball is holed.
All shots must be played from within one club length of the selected ball, no closer to the hole, you may not move your ball out of hazards or the rough even if it’s within one club length, you must keep your ball in the same playing area it originated, when on the green balls must be placed within one putter head length.
Tee Boxes
Players must play from the designated tees based on tournament guidelines :
Men Blue tees
Men over 65 Black tees
Women black tees
Scorekeeping
Each team is responsible for keeping an accurate scorecard.
Scorecards must be signed and turned in immediately following the round.
Any discrepancies may result in disqualification.
Ties
Ties will be broken using a scorecard playoff, typically:
Back 9 score
Last 6 holes
Last 3 holes
Hole #18
Random draw (if still tied)
Pace of Play
Maintain position with the group ahead.
Be ready to play and limit time spent searching for balls (3-minute rule recommended).
Etiquette & Conduct
All players are expected to display proper golf etiquette and sportsmanship.
The tournament committee reserves the right to rule on any disputes.
Local Rules
Play will follow standard golf rules unless modified by the tournament committee.
Any local course rules will be provided prior to tee-off.
Dress Code
Players are required to wear traditional golf attire on the golf course. A collared shirt is required. Cutoffs, gym shorts, and swimwear are not permitted. Denim is prohibited.
Inclement Weather and Limit of Time
If the tournament is canceled, participants will retain their swag bags, and any refund issued will apply only to greens fee and, if applicable, your meal. The Club assumes no responsibility for safety during inclement weather but reserves the right to suspend or cancel outdoor events as necessary.
If an event is canceled or stopped early by an authorized Club representative, golf charges will be adjusted as follows:
if play begins but fewer than nine holes are completed, fees will be billed at half the contracted rate;
if more than nine holes are completed, the full contracted rate will apply.
The Club does not provide rain checks and reserves the right to limit total golfing time to 5.5 hours from the scheduled start.
